The Church Resources Agency

A national partner for helping people and strengthening communities.

The Church Resources Agency (Kirkkopalvelut ry) is a national Finnish organisation dedicated to helping people and strengthening communities. It serves Evangelical Lutheran congregations, Christian organisations and other network across Finland through welfare and education services, diaconal work, volunteering solutions, and sector-wide development cooperation.

The Agency supports its members with training, operational models, and tools — including resources for substance abuse and addiction work and for supporting those in the most vulnerable positions. It also enables large-scale charitable giving through the Common Responsibility Campaign, the Kotimaanapu fundraising service, and the Ruoka-apu.fi food aid platform.

STEP Education is the Agency’s largest service area offering vocational education and professional development to approximately 3,500 students across five campuses and several other locations in Finland. Valona welfare services provides supported housing for older adults and foster care services. The group also includes Sacrum-Kotimaa Oy, a media group focused on church and society journalism.

The work of the Church Resources Agency is guided by the values of faith, hope and love, a commitment to an open folk church, and a bold sense of social responsibility.

The Board is chaired by Paula Risikko, Member of Parliament and First Debuty Speaker of the Parliament of Finland. The Council is chaired by Bishop Teemu Laajasalo of the Diocese of Helsinki.
